Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 18, 2026.

Welcome to Chaotic! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Chaotic TCG Platform. By using Chaotic, you agree to these Terms. If you are to young (depending on where you are located), your parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • Age Limits: During our launch the Platform is generally available to all users.
  • Accuracy: You must provide accurate codes when scanning cards. Fraudulent code entry is prohibited.

2. The Chaotic Ecosystem (Core Features)

Chaotic links physical trading cards to digital gameplay.

  • Unique Identifiers: Each physical card contains a unique alphanumeric code. This code can be used once to add the card to your digital collection.
  • Authentication: You may scan the code via device camera or type it manually.
  • Ownership: You own the physical cardboard. You license the digital asset for use on the Platform. If a card is traded or auctioned digitally, the digital rights transfer to the new owner; the physical card is unaffected unless trading is facilitated by the Company.

3. User Conduct (The "Duelist's Code")

We want Chaotic to be fun for everyone. You agree NOT to:

  • Cheat: Do not generate fake card codes, exploit bugs in Unity, or use automated "bots" to bid in auctions.
  • Harass: In-game chat is filtered, but attempts to bypass filters (using leetspeak or slurs) to harass other players will result in a ban.
  • Spam: Do not flood message boards or trade offers.
  • Sell Accounts: Do not sell your user account or digital cards for real-world money outside the official auction house.

Violation of the Duelist's Code results in suspension or permanent ban, forfeiture of digital cards, and notification of parents.

4. In-Game Chat, Boards, and Social Features

  • Message Boards: User comments are reviewed. We do not allow sharing of personal contact information (phone numbers, home addresses) on public boards.
  • Social Sharing: You may share gameplay animations to social media. By doing so, you grant Chaotic Entertainment a license to use that clip for promotional purposes (with appropriate age consent).

5. Auctions, Trades, and Future Store

  • Virtual Items: Cards have no real-world cash value.
  • The Auction House: The Company reserves the right to charge a transaction fee (in "Chaotic Coins" or similar virtual currency) on successful auctions.
  • Future Store: When the online store launches, purchases are final.

6. Organized Play and Tournaments

  • Fair Play: We reserve the right to disqualify any player using exploits.
  • Prizes: Official tournaments may offer promotional cards or digital items. These have no cash redemption value.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Chaotic IP: The game software, artwork, story narratives, creature names, and TV show videos are owned by Chaotic Entertainment LLC or its licensors .
  • User Content: You retain ownership of your unique gameplay animations, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display them on the Platform and share them via your requested social media functions.

8. Planned Third-Party Services

  • Unity: The game engine collects analytics per our Privacy Policy .
  • Heroic Labs (Nakama): Manages real-time multiplayer and chat .
  • WhatsApp/WeChat: Support via these apps is subject to their respective Terms of Service.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS." We do not guarantee that the game will be error-free or that servers will never be down.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chaotic Entertainment LLC is not liable for any lost data, lost cards (due to server issues), or emotional distress resulting from losing a duel.
  • Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 6 months.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California (USA), without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Disputes: For users in the US/Canada/Europe, we will attempt to resolve disputes informally. If we cannot, you agree to resolve any claim exclusively in the federal or state courts located in San Diego County, California.
  • Special Note for Chinese Users: While local laws apply in China, the governing language of the contract is English; however, support is provided in Mandarin via WeChat.

11. Modifications

We may update the game features. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify the parent email address on file.
